About the role
The Exploration Company is developing innovative aerospace technologies, including the Nyx modular and reusable space orbital vehicle and advanced propulsion systems. As a Propulsion Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the test and analysis of future propulsion systems to support mission success. You will work closely with development and AIT teams to execute engine and component-level testing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute tests at the engine and component level to evaluate hardware performance.
- Develop test plans, objectives, and schedules while leading daily test operations and generating reports.
- Lead risk assessment analyses and define mitigation actions to ensure personnel and hardware safety.
- Interpret P&IDs and generate test sequences while balancing test bench and article limits.
- Collaborate with development engineers, test bench teams, and external partners to support test operations.
- Process test data to guide campaign progress and plan future testing.
- Define and update test procedures and guidelines to improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare technical documentation including procedures, design reviews, and performance analyses.
