About the role
Canonical is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Launchpad team, a platform for managing open-source development projects. You will architect and refine a Python-driven system, ensuring it remains a high-velocity environment for developers worldwide. This role involves driving design and architecture decisions while collaborating with a globally distributed team to maintain business-critical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Influencing and driving design, architecture, and feature decisions across distributed teams.
- Crafting exceptional, API-first Python code with unit tests to deliver robust, well-structured systems.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges to enhance performance and reliability.
- Mentoring and uplifting fellow engineers through code reviews.
- Travelling internationally 2 to 4 times a year for team collaboration and industry events.
