Staff Software Engineer

About the role

Evolve is seeking a highly motivated Staff Engineer to build, secure, and scale the infrastructure powering their vacation rental platform. This role involves driving DevOps transformation, architecting reliable systems, and setting standards for AI tooling adoption across the engineering organization. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to address systemic technical debt and influence platform architecture across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI/CD pipeline design, container orchestration strategy, and cloud infrastructure reliability.
• Architect secure infrastructure including secrets management, IAM, and vulnerability scanning.
• Leverage AI-assisted development while modeling critical evaluation and responsible use practices.
• Own platform reliability by setting SLOs/SLAs and leading incident response.
• Design scalable, reusable Infrastructure as Code modules to reduce toil and address technical debt.
• Serve as the primary decision-maker for platform architecture across multiple teams and domains.
