Principal AI Engineer

About the role

The Principal AI Engineer will serve as the technical lead for AI initiatives across design, simulation, and manufacturing. This role involves solving complex, poorly defined industrial engineering problems by developing and implementing advanced AI solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping engagements and mentoring engineering teams to build reliable, scalable AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Setting the technical direction for the industrial AI portfolio across design, simulation and manufacturing
• Transforming poorly defined engineering problems into solvable technical projects
• Providing specialist authority in client projects and making critical decisions on system reliability
• Shaping new engagements with engineering and R&D leaders from initial workshops to proposals
• Developing reference architectures, evaluation methods and accelerators for the practice
• Coaching and growing the engineering team through standards and hands-on reviews
