Senior Software Engineer - Platform & Infrastructure

About the role

You will build and maintain the platform that powers HOLOPLOT sound systems, ensuring reliability and performance in production environments. This role involves designing infrastructure as code, managing distributed systems across AWS and on-premises Kubernetes clusters, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support complex audio installations. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the platform, including architecture, implementation, and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement services to provision, configure, and manage server fleets across AWS and local clusters.
• Create control-plane logic for venue systems to ensure consistency, health monitoring, rollout management, and recovery.
• Establish end-to-end provisioning workflows for embedded Linux hardware.
• Enhance update processes to streamline software deployments for active customer installations.
• Develop APIs and developer tooling that empower engineering teams to independently deploy, observe, and troubleshoot their services.
• Embed telemetry capabilities into the platform to facilitate remote diagnosis of venue system behavior.
• Own the AWS infrastructure behind connected services including remote access, telemetry ingestion, and secret management.
• Operate and evolve the on-premises Kubernetes footprint at venues, including air-gapped and intermittently connected installations.
