Head of PMO

About the role

Plentific is seeking a Head of PMO to establish and lead a new Controlling PMO function. This role will define delivery standards, maintain a comprehensive view of the project portfolio, and work directly with senior management to resolve blockers and ensure project success. The successful candidate will coach project managers and implement governance processes to improve portfolio visibility and consistency.

Responsibilities

• Coach Programme and Project Managers on standard toolkits and delivery practices.
• Own the stage-gate review process and issue go/no-go sign-offs.
• Consolidate individual programme status into a single, accurate portfolio view of schedule, spend, risk, and resourcing.
• Track cross-programme risks, dependencies, and benefits realisation.
• Act as the primary escalation point for programme risks and dependencies requiring senior management decisions.
• Chair or co-chair portfolio reviews and prepare materials for Steering Committee meetings.
