Senior Employment Counsel

About the role

Nebius is seeking a pragmatic and highly structured Senior Employment Counsel to act as the primary legal partner to the HR team. The role will lead advice on Dutch employment and labour law across the full employee lifecycle and support the company's international growth by coordinating employment-law work in new jurisdictions. The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy to provide business-oriented advice and build scalable legal infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal contact for the HR team, providing practical and commercially balanced advice on employment and labour law.
• Advise across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, performance, conduct, investigations, and terminations.
• Manage employee disputes and contentious matters, including settlement negotiations and litigation.
• Advise on compensation and benefits matters, including salary, bonus, incentive, and equity plans.
• Draft, review, and maintain employment agreements, policies, and related templates.
• Work directly with the Dutch Works Council on information, consultation, and consent processes.
• Advise on reorganisations, restructurings, and business transfers.
• Lead employment-law workstreams for entry into new jurisdictions and manage international external counsel.
• Build and maintain scalable employment-law infrastructure, including global templates and country playbooks.
• Monitor legal developments and provide training to HR and management.
