About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead a team of six experienced engineers within the Data Platform studio, focusing on event delivery and data pseudonymisation systems. This role involves setting technical direction, ensuring high-impact delivery, and investing in the professional growth and career development of team members. The manager will partner with stakeholders to shape roadmaps and drive architectural decisions for systems operating at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of six experienced engineers with a focus on coaching and career development.
• Take accountability for team delivery, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
• Partner with product and stakeholders to shape the roadmap for event delivery and privacy infrastructure.
• Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions for systems operating at scale.
• Build a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across the engineering organisation to align on shared goals and dependencies.
• Manage on-call health, operational excellence, and reliability for team services.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and growing team capabilities.
