Principal R&D/Product Development Engineer

About the role

As a Principal R&D Product Development Engineer, you will lead the end-to-end development of high-speed, fine-pitch, large-size sockets for the Digital Data Networks market. You will focus on creating relationships with customer innovators, defining technical activities, and contributing to the technical roadmap of socket products. This role involves collaborating with global teams to translate customer requirements into innovative design concepts and high-performance interconnect solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative design concepts and conduct feasibility studies to assess technical and commercial viability.
• Lead end-to-end product development of high-speed, fine-pitch, large-size sockets from market definition to production release.
• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to capture Voice of Customer and translate it into conceptual designs.
• Perform signal integrity simulations using advanced tools to validate electrical signal performance.
• Mentor and train engineering teams in advanced mechanical design principles and simulation methodologies.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and quality teams to ensure efficient ramp-up and product launches.
