About the role
Catawiki is a curated marketplace for special objects, operating at a high scale with millions of monthly visitors. As a Backend Engineer, you will join an autonomous, cross-functional team to design, build, and maintain scalable microservices that support our demand, supply, or fulfillment verticals. You will play a key role in delivering product innovations while ensuring the reliability and performance of our platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable microservices and features.
- Take end-to-end ownership of service quality, resilience, and maintainability throughout the lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product designers, product owners, and other engineers to deliver innovations.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and advocate for development best practices.
- Fix bugs and refactor code to ensure product reliability.
- Participate in Technical Week to experiment with new technologies and share knowledge.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience
