About the role
As a Linux System Administrator, you will not only maintain existing systems but actively shape the company's modern open-source IT landscape. You will work closely with management in a family-owned technology company to drive projects like open-source migrations, cyber security, and the development of an internal AI server. This role offers significant creative freedom and the opportunity to influence technical decisions in a growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the Linux system landscape and associated network and IT infrastructure.
- Drive the migration of standard software to open-source alternatives.
- Implement and manage virtualization and container technologies such as Proxmox, Docker, and vSphere.
- Automate processes using tools like Python and Ansible.
- Enhance cyber security and resilience in compliance with standards like NIS 2, GDPR, CRA, and TISAX.
- Maintain and expand the internal Linux-based AI server infrastructure.
- Provide high-level technical support for internal users at the second and third levels.

Qualifications
