About the role
The Content Platform team within Infrastructure focuses on empowering product teams to build reliable and scalable content-related experiences. This role involves owning Tier-0 services and core data models that power essential product features like feeds, posting, and commenting. You will work on high-impact systems to improve availability, latency, and efficiency while maintaining critical legacy stacks.
Responsibilities
- Design, write, and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Reddit’s products
- Dive deep into the codebase of Go services and Python monolith legacy stacks
- Make system-level improvements and implement complex code modifications
- Identify and discuss gaps in the current platform to evolve it for future growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and solicit customer feedback
- Share on-call responsibilities and support monitoring and alerting
