About the role
As a Senior Engineer in the Infrastructure organization, you will evolve the cloud foundations behind every Samsara product. Your goal is to reduce systemic production risk and enable growth by making infrastructure safer to change, easier to operate, and more resilient and cost-efficient at scale. You will lead initiatives to modernize infrastructure and build standardized workflows while partnering with product engineering teams to turn manual operations into durable platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate reliable cloud platforms with depth in compute, networking, storage, or control planes.
- Improve the scalability, capacity management, isolation, recovery, and cost efficiency of critical production infrastructure.
- Build standardized infrastructure-as-code workflows and reusable automation for self-service provisioning and drift prevention.
- Identify shared failure modes and build safeguards to prevent localized failures from escalating.
- Contribute to multi-account, multi-region, and isolated AWS architectures.
- Participate in operational ownership and incident response to drive durable architectural improvements.
- Mentor engineers and establish patterns for infrastructure design and operational judgment.
