Engineering Manager, Data & Analytics

About the role

The Engineering Manager for Data & Analytics will lead a team of 4-5 engineers while maintaining a hands-on technical player-coach role. This position involves owning team delivery, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving the technical direction of data platform and product initiatives. The role is critical for shaping data strategy, mentoring engineers, and implementing data governance for AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 4-5 engineers through coaching and unblocking delivery.
• Own roadmap sequencing and negotiate priorities with product stakeholders.
• Mediate between platform and product demands to balance delivery requirements.
• Guide the team through an active transition using hands-on data streaming experience.
• Raise the standard of data modeling and drive a shift toward distributed data ownership.
• Collaborate with the staff engineering community on cross-cutting architectural decisions.
• Build foundations for AI data governance, including guardrails, access control, and safety.
