About the role

IP Dynamics is building a new, self-hosted, cloud-native platform in German data centers to provide digital sovereignty for critical applications in the insurance and public sectors. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will design and manage a multi-cluster Kubernetes environment based on the SUSE stack, focusing on high availability, security, and automation. You will act as a bridge between development teams and infrastructure, ensuring the platform meets rigorous performance and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a self-hosted, multi-cluster cloud platform without hyperscaler dependency.
  • Architect high-availability Kubernetes clusters including networking, storage, load balancing, and authentication.
  • Develop and maintain isolated tenant environments and lifecycle management.
  • Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD and Fleet for automated delivery and operations.
  • Manage infrastructure as code using tools like Ansible or Terraform.
  • Provide platform engineering support to internal teams and assist with workload migration.
  • Analyze monitoring data and incidents to continuously improve platform stability and security.
