Technical Product Owner

About the role

The Technical Product Owner for Platform AI will shape the technological foundation for scalable AI at idealo. You will develop the product strategy and roadmap for the central AI platform, prioritizing capabilities that deliver a high-quality developer experience. This role sits at the intersection of AI, platform engineering, cloud, and product development.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy and roadmap for the central AI platform in collaboration with engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Drive the development of scalable, reusable services and APIs for foundation models, LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and agentic AI.
• Prioritize initiatives based on business value, user needs, feasibility, and cost.
• Define and track KPIs such as adoption, time-to-value, quality, availability, and cost.
• Ensure platform reliability, AI security, governance, and data protection in partnership with security and engineering teams.
• Foster a Platform-as-a-Product, self-service mindset with a focus on developer experience and documentation.
