About the role

Cell Labs is building humanoid systems in-house and is looking for a mechanical engineer to join their team as they approach product launch. You will be responsible for the full-stack mechanical design, prototyping, and production readiness of robotic components. This role requires a hands-on approach to building and testing complex electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for humanoid systems using CAD.
  • Design and optimize the kinematic structure of robot joints and limbs.
  • Optimize designs for series production and manage the handover to manufacturing.
  • Prototype and validate mechanical systems, including building test rigs for performance and durability.
  • Integrate PCBs, sensors, and batteries into mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform stress analysis and weight optimization to improve performance.
  • Maintain complete design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
