Senior Automation & OT Engineer

About the role

ten23 health is seeking a Senior Automation & OT Engineer to develop automation strategy and ensure the reliability and compliance of operational technology. This role sits at the intersection of automation engineering and IT operations, requiring the management of complex projects and technical expertise on the shop floor. You will balance hands-on troubleshooting of production equipment with GMP-compliant change management to support safe and efficient manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Co-develop and support the site's overall automation strategy.
• Manage project pipelines, budgets, CAPEX/OPEX engineering tasks, and hardware/software lifecycle planning.
• Execute daily maintenance and troubleshooting for automation hardware including HMIs and PLCs.
• Administer IT infrastructure including Windows Servers, OS patching, OT network segmentation, and cybersecurity.
• Oversee automation systems for critical fill and finish operations and building utilities.
• Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, Data Integrity, and CSV regulations.
• Maintain and test backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures.
• Partner with manufacturing, QA, and maintenance teams to optimize systems and manage vendor SLAs.
