About the role
The Area Medical Director serves as a senior physician leader and primary clinical presence within a defined geography to drive engagement with community oncologists and key opinion leaders. This role bridges medical affairs and commercial strategy to accelerate the utilization of Natera's oncology portfolio while operating with high autonomy. The position involves regional medical strategy, cross-functional leadership, and the translation of clinical intelligence into actionable field-level initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Execute 12–18 MD-level engagements per quarter with a focus on strategic community accounts.
- Maintain a field presence of at least 4 ride days per month to oversee high-value accounts.
- Serve as the primary medical triage point for escalated inquiries and ensure closed-loop documentation.
- Partner with MSL managers and sales leadership to align scientific messaging and commercial strategy.
- Host or present at least 12 regional educational programs per quarter.
- Identify and document field-driven evidence generation opportunities and clinical trial concepts.

Qualifications
