About the role
The Senior Data Engineer will own the data lifecycle post-write, including capture, ingestion, and the development of data services. This role focuses on building a reliable change data capture and event-driven ingestion platform while managing a warehouse migration. You will work closely with software engineering and analytics teams to ensure data integrity and platform scalability.
Responsibilities
- Build the ingestion layer to capture change streams and domain events into S3.
- Own the bronze layer to ensure reliable data landing and schema evolution.
- Establish and enforce data contracts with the software engineering team.
- Deliver an end-to-end warehouse migration from Postgres.
- Manage deployments, production observability, runtime costs, and system reliability.
