About the role

The Pharmacy Dispenser will support the safe and effective dispensing of cannabis-based medicines in a fast-paced, high-volume private pharmacy environment. This role involves processing prescriptions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring regulatory compliance while working alongside pharmacists and technicians. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented professional committed to patient care and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and validating prescriptions ready for a clinical check.
• Processing patient information appropriately.
• Supporting the Responsible Pharmacist and Technicians in daily operations.
• Serving as the first point of contact for pharmacy queries.
• Maintaining relevant records for the supply of cannabis-based medicines.
• Managing stock and security of medicines on site.
• Communicating prescription data to the Department of Health to meet regulatory requirements.
• Supporting governance in the pharmacy to ensure safe operations.
