About the role
The Robotics & Mechatronics team is seeking an Electronics Engineer to develop PCB-level electronics for robot arms. The role involves managing the full development lifecycle from safety-circuit design to production-ready schematics.
Responsibilities
- PCB Design: Create and review schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams for production, from initial concept through manufacturing-ready output.
- Safety Circuits: Design and implement safety circuits and fail-safe mechanisms for the robot's electronics, working within established safety requirements.
- Component Selection: Select and integrate electronic components (motors, drivers, sensors, power systems) that meet the robot's performance and reliability requirements.
- Test Development: Design in-house test devices and write test cases for the electronics subsystem.
- Hardware Debugging: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and electronics issues on the physical robot, working directly with firmware, software, and mechanics engineers when a fault crosses disciplines.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain electrical documentation, including BOMs, test procedures, and compliance reports.
