Staff Engineer for IT Automation & AI transformation

About the role

SoSafe is seeking a visionary Staff Engineer to lead the company's AI-native transformation by building a robust toolchain that integrates traditional automation with foundation models and agentic workflows. This role focuses on enabling internal teams to leverage AI-driven tools safely and at scale while evolving IT operations toward an infrastructure-as-code model. You will act as a technical guide, mentoring teams and driving cross-departmental adoption of automation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build and iterate a toolchain fusing traditional automation and productivity tools with spec-driven design and agentic working.
• Advocate, mentor and enable early adopter teams to use platforms and provide feedback for iteration.
• Build self-sustaining cultural practices across the organisation and scale the platform for all departments.
• Drive the evolution of IT operations towards an all-encompassing infrastructure-as-code model.
• Contribute to the IT/Sec Operating System as the company moves to build-not-buy teams.
• Mentor and level up the existing IT engineering team and serve as a technical guide to accelerate skills transfer.
• Champion and advocate for shared automation and AI platforms to break down operational silos.

Qualifications
