Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Staffbase is looking for an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to join a newly formed team building custom solutions for enterprise customers. You will own the end-to-end development of platform extensions, from technical design to implementation and validation, while mentoring mid-level engineers. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the development of custom solutions end-to-end from technical design through implementation, testing, and release
• Partner with stakeholders to define and detail use cases before development and gather feedback afterward
• Build across the stack including customer-facing UI, backend services, and integrations
• Mentor mid-level engineers and help bring structure and engineering standards to the team
• Work in a cross-functional, agile setup and produce high-quality, well-tested code
• Give and receive feedback in code reviews and share knowledge with peers
• Work iteratively by pushing code frequently and maintaining a healthy CI/CD pipeline
