Software Engineer II - Data Platform

About the role

Five9 is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Data Platform team to help enhance and modernize the cloud contact center software. The role involves developing highly available and scalable infrastructure for microservices while leveraging cloud technologies to solve complex platform challenges. You will contribute to the design and support of existing systems while working within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the next generation of Five9’s modern SaaS platform and applications.
• Develop highly-available, highly-scalable and reliable infrastructure for microservices.
• Apply expertise in cloud computing and open source tools to resolve complex platform challenges.
• Gain deep application-level knowledge of existing systems and contribute to their design.
• Troubleshoot and provide production support by diving deep into the software stack.
