Senior iOS Engineer (KMP)

About the role

The Order Taking squad owns core ordering experiences within SumUp's Point of Sale app, including checkout, catalog management, and printer integrations. As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will build new hospitality workflows and evolve established ordering experiences across iOS and Android using SwiftUI and Kotlin Multiplatform. You will join a collaborative, fast-moving team focused on complex mobile engineering and multi-device synchronisation.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new ordering experiences in SwiftUI, while evolving established capabilities such as table management, kitchen workflows and printer integrations
• Contribute to shared Kotlin Multiplatform business logic and help shape the architecture of the ordering domain
• Improve the reliability and usability of ordering features used daily by hospitality merchants across phones, tablets and POS devices
• Collaborate closely with Android engineers and platform teams to maintain consistent cross-platform behaviour and reliable multi-device order synchronisation
• Take part in code reviews, pair programming and collaborative testing to maintain a high quality bar
• Help refine and scope upcoming work, bringing technical judgement to product and architectural trade-offs
• Contribute to Mobile Chapter and KMP platform initiatives across the wider POS tribe

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production iOS applications in Swift
• Experience working in a large, established codebase
